Bye bye cool stuff
SGI transfered a large portion of its 3d Graphics patents portfolio to Microsoft. Yes. There’s a nice little line in the SGI SEC fillings last year, wth Microsoft paying $62.5 million for “intellectual property” rights to Silicon Graphics Inc.
So much for cool “open” GL.
In other Microsoft news, Bill Gates is showboating about security. Too bad that they still don’t know what half the code in NT does.
