Remaindered Links for 17 July 2007 Megapost

Since I missed last Friday, my Safari tabs are a bit out of control. Time to clean up and share with you, good citizen, the findings of my recent browsing.

The Pousadas of Portugal | It’s the out of the way that makes things special. I think this might be a vacation in my future.

Install a Ringtone on the iPhone | A crazy hack to install your own ring tone on the iPhone. Caution: not for the feint of heart.

Meat Cake | Basically a meat loaf with mashed potato frosting. Yay manly men things to do that make absolutely no sense.

Leaflets: iPhone Apps that Grow On You | A website that acts as a mini-finder on your iPhone and gives you access to a variety of web sites and tools.

Apples and Oranges: A Comparison | They are suprisingly similar in spectrographic comparison. So the next time someone says “that’s like comparing apples and oranges” you have a smart retort.

Lego Art | Great art made with legos. (via .sara)

The Gift | Tara Hunt talks about how a mentality shift at her baby agency (just turned 1 year old!) has basically set them up in a much better place than traditional MBA mentality spend spend spend advertise would have gotten them.

I CAN HAZ SMARTCAR? KTHXBYE | You can now reserve a 2008 smartfortwo for only $99. Driving around in DC, this thing would be awesome for parking spaces that are just not large enough for a sedan or even a compact. We saw these in Europe when we were there in 1999. Why it’s taken ten years to come over here is beyond me.

5 Ways To Capture Attention Like A CEO | Interesting read. It’s actually visible in my workplace environment too.

No Organic Bee Losses? | Turns out most of the bee losses are a result of man interfering with things he shouldn’t. Hyper-bred varieties that are much larger than normal bees, and it seems that organic or non-altered bees in normal sized hives are doing just fine. (via Amanda Congdon)
