Paleo Day 2

A huge day gardening today (4.5 hours), so I’m still a little hungry as I go to bed, and craving chocolate badly, but I must resist! The scale showed a 2.5 lb drop overnight, which I’ll chalk up to water weight or the scale just being wonky. But that’s what it said, so that’s what’s recorded.

Breakfast

  • Salmon (~4oz)
  • Walnuts (handful)

Paleo day 2: lunch

Lunch (at Lyon Hall)

  • Orange Juice
  • Coffee (no cream)
  • 10oz Hangar Steak
  • 3 Eggs over medium
  • Arugula
  • Mixed green salad with carrots

Paleo day 2: dinner

Dinner

  • 1/4 white meat chicken
  • Broccoli
  • Almonds

Exercize

  • Gardening (soaked my shirt twice over)

Morning Weight: 226.6 lbs (what’s going on scale?)

    I have been using your website for meal ideas for about 4 days now. I am sgtnificanily overweight and have been doing paleo for about a week now. I'm not perfect at it yet, but I think I have managed to mostly wean myself from sugar, etc. However, with the power of positive thinking and eating, I am succeeding. I realized last night that I am actually feeling better than I have in several years. Better yet, I don't feel deprived and I don't have many food cravings. I also have three very picky children (and yes, I'm talking about pop tart, cinnamon toast cruch, peanut butter and jelly loving kids). I feel like I need to carry my laptop around with me for every meal or snack, but the change in diet is working. I just wantched the video about your book and it literaly had me in tears by the end. Thank you for all of your ideas and recipes and I will most certainly be pre-ordering your book today. I want to show my kids the pictures of your kids eating healthy and liking it (and use the recipes and exercise ideas as well). Today I made the pot roast with cabbage on top and the apple/almond meal muffins and thought my ears were deceiving me when I heard my 8 year old son say more please . I can't wait to see how the roast (which is currently in the crock pot) turns out.I know this comment has been rather lengthy, but I just wanted you to know that you and your family are helping me and mine become healthier and I can't wait to get the book.
